Plaid features traditional waistcoat shaping of shaped lower front edgings and side shaping. Plaid is knitted flat in separate pieces and then sewn together with bands knitted separately and then sewn into place. Horizontal stripes are worked throughout with vertical stripes added after completion, by embroidering contrasting stripes of chain stitch up the length of the waistcoat as shown. Alternatively, the vertical stripes can be omitted with the waistcoat looking great as a simple horizontally striped piece.
Plaid is knitted in Excelana North fingering weight yarn, 100% British wool, using wool from Northern England and the Scottish Borders and spun at a nearby Yorkshire mill. This fingering weight (4 Ply) yarn is soft to the touch and creates a beautiful stocking stitch fabric. The main shade used is Limestone plus the fabulous shades of Siren, English Mustard and Land Army Green for the bold horizontal stripes plus Charcoal and Cornflower Blue.
Plaid would look wonderful in many colour combinations and if f you would prefer to choose your own colourway, simply let us know in the order comments which shades of Excelana you would like instead. You can see all the Excelana shades here.
Plaid comes in 8 sizes to fit from 76–152 cm (30–60 in) chest with clear written instructions plus a clear schematic diagram and sizing charts.

Before purchasing your kit you will need to know the chest size you intend to knit – Refer to the sizing chart for sizing guidance. The yarn kit is available in three sizes as follows:
Kit Size 1: To fit chest sizes 30-44in (76-112cm) Your kit includeds 2 50g skeins each of Excelana North fingering weight in Land Army Green and Limestone plus 1 50g skein each of Siren, English Mustard, Charcoal and Cornflower Blue.
Kit Size 2: To fit chest sizes 46-48in (117-122cm) Your kit includeds 3 50g skeins each of Excelana North fingering weight in Land Army Green and Limestone plus 1 50g skein each of Siren, English Mustard, Charcoal and Cornflower Blue.
Kit Size 3: To fit chest sizes 50-60in (127-152cm) Your kit includeds 3 50g skeins each of Excelana North fingering weight in Land Army Green and Limestone, 2 50g skeins of Siren plus 1 50g skein each of English Mustard, Charcoal and Cornflower Blue.

Returns
Due to multiple parties which include the factory as well as the warehouse, we cannot effectively manage inventory. The actual stock levels can fluctuate at any point. It's possible that you may not receive your order once it's been placed.
Our policy runs for 30 days. We cannot exchange or refund your order if it has been 30 days since the purchase.
To be eligible for a refund the product must be unopened and in the same condition as when you received it in. The item must be returned in its original packaging.
