About Cresta Dell’Onda:
This stunning cowl features a beautiful italian lace pattern which echoes the crest of a wave, hence the design’s italian name. The pattern is worked over 10 rows with pattern on all rows. The pattern creates a natural bias to the cowl which is used to enhance the drape of the cowl. Cresta Dell’Onda is nitted on a 4.5mm needle to create a soft, open fabric. Its length can be customised to that of your choosing, depending on whether you prefer to wrap the cowl around your neck, once, twice or more; or even wear it as a shrug as modelled by Susan.
Cresta Dell’Onda is knitted using Fenella, a lightweight yarn perfect for knitting lace. Fenella is available in 28 colours so you can knit a Cresta Dell’Onda for every occasion. The sample shown is knitted in Chalk.
The cowl is knitted from side to side commencing with a provisional crochet cast-on and the cast-on and cast-off edges are joined together on completion using three needle cast off method.
The pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
Susan is modelling the second size cowl throughout.
