The bonnet is knitted in two flat pieces which are then sewn together – with the back of the bonnet shaped to ensure a neat fit around the back neck. The mittens are also knitted flat and seamed but could easily be knitted in the round if preferred.
Bonnet and Mittens – On the Cover is knitted using [productlink: Excelana North fingering weight = excelana-4-ply :productlink] a soft, fingering weight 100% British wool, spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and dyed in-house by Susan and her team. Shown here in
shades [productlink: Persian Grey = persian-grey :productlink], [productlink: Ruby Red = ruby-red :productlink] and [productlink: Nile Green = nile-green :productlink].

Mittens: Medium-Large ladies hand.
Instructions contain both clear written pattern directions, together with charted instructions for colour work instructions plus a schematic diagram and sizing chart.
