Marble is a unique sweater design from A Stitch In Time Volume 3 with a simple, classic shape with a dramatic striped patterning with a ‘marble’ motif. Originally published in the 1950s, we have created a colourway which replicates the striking colours used in this eye-catching sweater. You can now purchase our hand-dyed yarn kit to create your own Marble using BLUEM SOCK, a beautifully soft fingering weight yarn, spun from 75% Bluefaced Leicester wool plus 25% nylon for added strength, smoothness and longevity.
The Marble kit includes five glorious colours – Buttermilk – the natural undyed colour of Bluem Sock, Loam – a deep brown, plus three newly created shades – Legbar – a delicious turquoise; Red Granite – a gorgeous coral-pink and Daffodil – a clear, lemon yellow. Our yarns are hand dyed in-house by Susan and her team, who spend many hours perfecting the colour palette for our vintage patterns. These specially created shades are only currently available as part of the Marble yarn kit.
Bluem Sock is available in 100g skeins each containing 395m / 432 yds. Three kit sizes are available. The first providing sufficient yarn for the first 4 sizes and the second size providing enough yarn for the 5th size and the third size kit providing enough size for the 6th to 9th sizes. Simply select which kit size you require.
The kits are available in three sizes as follows:
1st size – to fit pattern sizes 1 to 4 (to fit chest sizes 72-107cm (28-42in)
In your yarn kit you will receive 5 100g skeins of Bluem Sock, one skein each of Buttermilk, Loam, Legbar, Red Granite and Daffodil.
2nd size – to fit pattern size 5 (to fit chest sizes 112-117cm (44-46in)
In your yarn kit you will receive 6 100g skeins of Bluem Sock, two skeins of Buttermilk, and one skein each of Loam, Legbar, Red Granite and Daffodil.
3rd size – to fit pattern sizes 6 to 9 (to fit chest sizes 122-157cm (48-62in)
In your yarn kit you will receive 7 100g skeins of Bluem Sock, two skeins each of Buttermilk and Loam, and one skein each of Legbar, Red Granite and Daffodil.

PLEASE NOTE THIS KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE PATTERN. THE PATTERN IS ONLY AVAILABLE AS PART OF A STITCH IN TIME VOLUME 3.

Note: Orders that include more than one item are assigned a processing period according to the item.
We will inspect each and every one of the items before sending. The majority of orders will be delivered within 48 hours. The expected delivery time is between 3 and 7 days.
Returns
Due to multiple parties which include the factory as well as the warehouse, we cannot effectively manage inventory. The actual stock levels can fluctuate at any point. It's possible that you may not receive your order once it's been placed.
Our policy runs for 30 days. We cannot exchange or refund your order if it has been 30 days since the purchase.
To be eligible for a refund the product must be unopened and in the same condition as when you received it in. The item must be returned in its original packaging.
