Bobby is a delightful, short-sleeved sweater pattern, featuring an all-over colourwork pattern, a high neck with back button opening and a neat fit. Our multi-sized pattern includes 10 sizes to fit from 30-64inch (76-162cm) chest and has options for both a shaped or an unshaped lower body. Instructions are provided for knitting Bobby in the round from the bottom up with armhole steeks added. Two options are included in the updated pattern; the first to work a shaped lower body as in the original pattern, with a nipped in waistband; the second to work a straight lower body. Both options include instructions for a choice of three lengths, short, medium or long and both options provide instructions for 10 chest sizes to fit from 30-64 inches (76-162cm).
Bobby is knitted using [productlink: Susan Crawford Lock, = lock :productlink] a fingering (4 ply) weight sock yarn which is spun from a blend of rare breed British Lonk wool including wool from our own small flock of Lonk sheep plus nylon, at a nearby mill in Yorkshire. Until the 1930s and the outbreak of WWII, Lonk wool was used primarily for hosiery – socks, stockings and under-garments, and for this first very special batch from our own flock we wanted to continue this tradition, and have had a beautiful, hard wearing yet soft, fingering weight, sock yarn spun for us. The perfect blend of shearling Lonk fibre and eco-nylon has been worsted spun to produce a smooth, slightly crisp yet soft yarn, that is perfect not just for sock knitting but for many other projects too!
Lock is dyed in-house by Susan’s daughter, Charlie, in an incredible varied and unique palette of solid and semi-solid hand-dyed shades inspired by the Bloomsbury era. Lock takes colour in a unique way, slightly subdued – almost like painting with pastels or water colours – but also responds fabulously when dyed with bright tones.

Returns
Due to multiple parties which include the factory as well as the warehouse, we cannot effectively manage inventory. The actual stock levels can fluctuate at any point. It's possible that you may not receive your order once it's been placed.
Our policy runs for 30 days. We cannot exchange or refund your order if it has been 30 days since the purchase.
To be eligible for a refund the product must be unopened and in the same condition as when you received it in. The item must be returned in its original packaging.
