About Blanche:
This figure hugging jumper is based on a classic 1950s silhouette with subtle waist shaping and a flattering square neckline. Knitted in DK weight yarn this is a quick and easy knit – providing you with the basic skills to knit jumpers and a great introduction to vintage style knits.
Instructions are provided to knit the jumper either in the round or in flat pieces to be sewn together. A three needle cast off is used at the shoulders to create a neat shoulder line. The flattering neckband is worked in one piece using a circular needle with decreases worked at each corner to create a beautiful neckline framing the face.
Knitted in Excelana DK a pure wool with lots of stretch, perfect for this form-fitting garment. The sample has been knitted in Chartreaux but once you’ve knitted one, you’ll want one in every colour!
